End of the year and farewell party 2017

Academia is a strange little thing, people move from place to place for work and we get to meet people from different walks of life. Unfortunately, this also means that we have to say good bye to some pretty fantastic people. This week, we bid farewell to two members of the IDEEL family. Dr. Joel (Joelsy) Pick and Penny Creagh.

It was truly a pleasure to send Joel and his little family as well as Penny off with a yummy Thai lunch at the Spot and wonderful weather at Coogee Beach (15 mins from work!)

Joel will be starting a wintery post-doc at University of Edinburgh with Jarrod Hadfield and Penny will move on to getting her qualifications to become a high school teacher!

We are so grateful for their company and work and wish them the very best for their upcoming ventures!
