Registered Reports

Registered Reports are publications that are peer-reviewed at the protocol stage (Stage 1: Introduction + Methods) and were given provisional acceptance for publications. Full report (Stage 2: Results and Discussion) is then peer-reviewed for compliance with the pre-registered hypotheses and methods and published irrespectively of whether results are "novel" or "significant" enough.

  1. Yang, Y, Sánchez-Tójar A., O'Dea, R. E. Jennions, M. D., Koricheva, J., Noble, D. W., Parker, T. H.,  Lagisz, M.,  & Nakagawa, S. Publication bias impacts on effect size, statistical power, and magnitude (Type M) and sign (Type S) errors in ecology and evolutionary biology (in prep).  BMC Biology. Registered Report (Stage 1; https://aimos.community/)
  2.  Foo Y. Z., Lagisz, M., O’Dea, R. E. & Nakagawa S. (in prep) The influence of immune challenges on the mean and variance in reproductive investment: a meta-analysis of the terminal investment hypothesis. BMC Biology. Registered Report (Stage 1; in-principle acceptance)
  3. Parker, T. H., Fraser, H., Nakagawa, S., Gould. E., Griffith, S. C., Vesk, P. A. & Fidler F. et al. (in prep) Same data, different analysts: variation in effect sizes due to analytical decisions in ecology and evolutionary biology. BMC Biology. Registered Report (Stage 1; in-principle acceptance)
